| Redbirds Win Championship! (MDawson7) |
The Redbirds (29-6) completed the sweep of the Red Sox (26-9) on Sunday behind Brandon Luczak's complete game and some timely hitting as the 'Birds won the SCS MABL World Series with a 3-2 victory at Kyte Monroe Field. Ed Monley finished 3-for-3, while John Fileccia went 2-for-3 for the Redbirds.
Dan Gliot, Joe Small, Scott MacDonald, Scott Misuraca and JC Zapinski all had hits for the Redbirds. Lucazk allowed no earned runs and fanned seven.

Mike Miller went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Scott MacDonald tossed a complete game, striking out eight to lead the Redbirds (28-6) past the Red Sox (26-9), 6-3, on Thursday night at Kyte Monroe in the SCS World Series.
