| The Yankees beat the Orioles 5-1 in game three advancing to play the Marlins Sunday. The offense was lead by Pat Merolla (2 hits, 1 run), Kevin Warner (2 hits, 2 RB1, 2 runs), and Tyler Rausch-Davis (2 hits, 1 RBI). Also, contributing offensively for the Yankees were Eric Ogden, Dave Benson, and Frank Dicristforio with a hit a piece. | Red Sox close out the Reds in a two game sweep behind the arm of Robinson who pitched 6 shutout innings and a Grand Slam by Van Son.

| Playoffs Gm. 2, Orioles 14 - Yankees 3 (jvantol) |
| The Orioles pushed the opening series with the Yankees to a third and final game with a 14-3 victory on Monday night at Kytre Monroe Field. Pat Sadowski (8-3) tossed 5.2 innings, allowing three runs, while Joe Kotowski drove in four runs and had two hits. Vinnie DiSanto smashed a two-run home run in the first inning, while Joe Small added two hits for the Orioles. The third and final game will be on Wednesday night.... (read more) |

| The Cubs and Tigers decided to settle things with their sticks Monday night. The Cubs got on the board in the first with a run but in the second the Tigers scored four to take the lead. The Cubs cut the lead to 4-2 in the third but then plated six runs in the fourth for an 8-4 lead. The Cubs weren't done though as they added four more in the fifth for a 12-4 lead.
