| Scott MacDonald worked 6.0 scoreless innings, scattering two hits and fanned four, while Joe Small went 2-for-2, with two intentional walks, and Dan Surratt went 2-for-3, with a double to lead the Orioles (12-6) past the Brewers on Monday night. It was a day for two generations of Van Tol's yesterday as Father & Son celebrated both a victory and a pair of hits. In a fun quirk the Tigers were once again slightly shorthanded at game time, so Gerald Van Tol at 59 years young, who is a coach and emergency reserve said he would play right field until our ninth arrived.

Game 2
In the second game of the doubleheader the Cubs once again jumped out to a lead but this time the Mets limited the Cubs scoring and were able to plate some runs themselves. The Cubs scored two in the first but left the bases loaded. In the second the Cubs loaded the bases again but couldn't score. The Mets then tied it up with two in the bottom of the second.
